1__Ratana Sutta - Rattana Sutta ระตะนะสุตตัง

ยานีธะ ภู ตานิ สะ มา คะ ตา นิ
1. Yānīdha bhūtāni samāgatāni
1. Whatever beings are here assembled,

ภุม มานิ วา ยานิ วะ อัน ตะลิก เข
Bhummāni vā yāni va antalikkhe
whether terrestial or celestial,

สัพเพ วะ ภู ตา สุมะ นา ภะ วัน ตุ
Sabbe va bhūtā sumanā bhavantu
may all these beings be happy

อะโถ ปิ สัก กัจ จะ สุณัน ตุ ภาสิ ตัง
Atho pi sakkacca sunantu bhāsitaṃ
and listen closely to my words.

ตัส์ มา หิ ภู ตา นิสาเม ถะ สัพเพ
2. Tasmā hi bhūtā nisāmetha sabbe
2. Pay attention all you beings:

เมต ตัง กะ โร ถะ มานุสิ ยา ปะ ชา ยะ
Mettaṃ karotha mānusiyā pajāya
show kindness to the humans who

ทิวา จะรัต โต จะ หะรัน ติ เย พะ ลิง
Divā ca ratto ca haranti ye baliṃ
day and night bring you offerings

ตัส์ มา หิ เน รัก ขะ ถะอัป ปะ มัต ตา
Tasmā hi ne rakkhatha appamattā
Therefore guard them diligently.

ยัง กิญจิ วิต ตัง อิธะ วา หุรัง วา
3. Yaṃ kiñci vittaṃ idha vā huraṃ vā
3. Whatever treasure is here or beyond,

สะเคสุ วา ยัง ระตะ นัง ปะ ณีตัง
Saggesu vā yaṃ ratanaṃ paṇītaṃ
or the precious jewel in the heavens,

นะ โน สะ มัง อัตถิ ตะ ถา คะ เตนะ
Na no samaṃ atthi Tathāgatena
none is equal to the Perfect One.

อิทัมปิ พุ ทเธ ระตะ นัง ปะ ณีตัง
Idampi Buddhe ratanaṃ paṇītaṃ
In the Buddha is this precious jewel.

เอเต นะ สัจ เจ นะ สุวัต ถิ โหตุ
Etena saccena suvatthi hotu
By this truth may there be well-being.

ขะ ยัง วิรา คัง อะมะ ตัง ปะ ณีตัง
4. Khayaṃ virāgaṃ amataṃ paṇītaṃ
4. The calm Sakyan sage found cessation,

ยะทัชฌะ คา สัก์ ยะ มุ นี สะ มา หิโต
Yadajjhagā Sakyamunī samāhito
dispassion, the deathless, the sublime;

นะ เตนะ ธัมเม นะ สะมัตถิ กิญจิ
Na tena Dhammena samatthi kiñci
there is nothing equal to that state.

อิทัมปิ ธัมเม ระตะ นัง ปะ ณีตัง
Idampi Dhamme ratanaṃ paṇītaṃ
In the Dhamma is this precious jewel

เอเต นะ สัจ เจ นะ สุวัต ถิ โหตุ
Etena saccena suvatthi hotu
By this truth may there be well-being.

ยัม พุทธะ เสฏโฐ ปะ ริวัณณะ ยี สุจิง
5. Yam Buddhaseṭṭho parivaṇṇayī suciṃ
5. That purity praised by the Supreme Buddha,

สะ มา ธิมานันตะริกัญญะ มา หุ
Samādhim ānantarikaññamāhu
called concentration with immediate result -

สะ มา ธินา เตนะ สะ โม นะ วิช ชะ ติ
Samādhinā tena samo na vijjati
that concentration has no equal.

อิทัมปิ ธัมเม ระตะ นัง ปะ ณีตัง เอเต นะ สัจ
Idampi Dhamme ratanaṃ paṇītaṃ
In the Dhamma is this precious jewel.

เจ นะ สุวัต ถิ โหตุ
Etena saccena suvatthi hotu
By this truth may there

เย ปุคคะ ลา อัฏฐะ สะ ตัง ปะ สัฏฐา
6. Ye puggalā aṭṭha satam pasatthā
6. The eight persons praised by the good,

จัต ตา ริ เอตา นิ ยุคานิ โหน ติ
Cattāri etāni yugāni honti
these four pairs are the gift-

เต ทัก ขิเณย ยา สุคะ ตัสสะ สาวะ กา
Te dakkhiṇeyyā Sugatassa sāvakā
worthy disciples of the Well-gone One

เอเตสุ ทิน นานิ มะหัปผะ ลานิ
Etesu dinnāni mahapphalāni
gifts to them yield abundant fruit.

อิทัมปิ สังเฆ ระตะ นัง ปะ ณีตัง
Idampi Saṅghe ratanaṃ paṇītaṃ
In the Sangha is this precious jewel.

เอเต นะ สัจ เจ นะ สุวัต ถิ โหตุ
Etena saccena suvatthi hotu
By this truth may there be well-being.

เย สุป ปะ ยุตตา มะ นะ สา ทัฬ เห นะ
7. Ye suppayuttā manasā daḷhena
7. With firm minds applying themselves

นิก กา มิ โน โค ตะมะสาสะนัมหิ
Nikkāmino Gotama sāsanamhi
to Gotama's teaching, passionless,

เต ปัต ติ ปัต ตา อะมะ ตัง วิคัยหะ
Te pattipattā amataṃ vigayha
they reach the goal; plunged in

ลัทธา มุ ธา นิพ พุ ติง ภุญ ชะ มา นา
Laddhā mudhā nibbutiṃ bhuñjamānā
the deathless, they enjoy supreme peace.

อิทัมปิ สังเฆ ระตะ นัง ปะ ณีตัง เอเต นะ สัจ
Idampi Saṅghe ratanaṃ paṇītaṃ
In the Sangha is this precious jewel,

เจ นะ สุวัต ถิ โหตุ ฯ
Etena saccena suvatthi hotu
By the truth may there be well-being.

ยะ ถินทะขีโล ปะ ถะ วิง สิโต สิยา
8. Yath'indakhīlo paṭhaviṃ sito siyā
As a firm post grounded in the earth

จะ ตุ พภิ วาเตภิ อะสัม ปะ กัมปิโย
Catubbhi vātebhi asampakampiyo
cannot be shaken by the four winds,

ตะ ถู ปะ มัง สัป ปุ ริสัง วะ ทา มิ
Tathūpamaṃ sappurisaṃ vadāmi
so is the superior person, I say,

โย อะริ ยะ สัจ จานิ อะเวจ จะ ปัสสะ ต
Yo ariyasaccāni avecca passati
who definitely sees the Noble Truths.

อิทัมปิ สังเฆ ระตะ นัง ปะ ณีตัง
Idampi Saṅghe ratanaṃ paṇītaṃ
In the Sangha is this precious jewel,

เอเต นะ สัจ เจ นะ สุวัต ถิ โหต
Etena saccena suvatthi hotu
By the truth may there be well-being.

เย อะริ ยะ สัจ จานิ วิภา วะ ยัน ติ
9. Ye ariyasaccāni vibhāvayanti
9. Those who comprehend the Noble Truths

คัมภีระปัญเญ นะ สุเท สิตา นิ
Gambhīrapaññena sudesitāni
taught well by Him of deep wisdom,

กิญจาปิ เต โหติ ภุสัป ปะ มัต ตา
Kiñcāpi te honti bhusappamattā
even if they are very negligent,

นะ เต ภะ วัง อัฏฐะมะ มา ทิยัน ติ
Na te bhavaṃ aṭṭhamaṃ ādiyanti
do not take an eighth existence.

อิทัมปิ สังเฆ ระตะ นัง ปะ ณีตัง
Idampi Saṅghe ratanaṃ paṇītaṃ
In the Sangha is this precious jewel,

เอเต นะ สัจ เจ นะ สุวัต ถิ โหตุ
Etena saccena suvatthi hotu
By the truth may there be well-being.

สะ หาวัสสะ ทัสสะ นะ สัม ปะ ทา ยะ
10. Sahavassa dassana-sampadāya
10. For one who has attained to vision

ตะยัสสุ ธัม มา ชะ หิตา ภะ วัน ตุ
Tayassu dhammā jahitā bhavanti
three states are at once abandoned

สัก กายะทิฏฐิ วิจิ กิจ ฉิตัญ จะ
Sakkāyadiṭṭhi vicikicchitañ ca
view of self, doubt, and clinging

สี ลัพพะ ตัง วาปิ ยะ ทัตถิกิญจิ
Sīlabbataṃ vā pi yad atthi kiñci
to needless rules and rituals.

จะ ตูหะ ปา เยหิ จะ วิป ปะ มุตโต
Catūh'apāyehi ca vippamutto
Freed from the four states of misery

ฉะ จาภิฐา นานิ อะภัพ โพ กา ตุง
Cha c'ābhiṭhānāni abhabbo kātuṃ
He cannot do six kinds of evil deeds.

อิทัมปิ สังเฆ ระตะ นัง ปะ ณีตัง
Idampi Saṅghe ratanaṃ paṇītaṃ
In the Sangha is this precious jewel,

เอเต นะ สัจ เจ นะ สุวัต ถิ โหตุ
Etena saccena suvatthi hotu
By the truth may there be well-being.

กิญจาปิ โส กัม มัง กะ โร ติ ปา ปะ กัง
11. Kiñcāpi so kammaṃ karoti pāpakaṃ
11. Though he might do some evil deed

กาเยนะ วาจา ยุ ทะ เจตะสา วา
Kāyena vācā uda cetasā vā
by body, speech, or mind,

อะภัพ โพ โส ตัสสะ ปะ ฏิฐ ฉะ ทา ยะ
Abhabbo so tassa paṭicchādāya
he cannot hide it; such is impossible

อะภัพพะ ตา ทิฏฐะ ปะ ทัสสะ วุต ตา
Abhabbatā diṭṭhapadassa vuttā
for one who has seen the Path.

อิทัมปิ สังเฆ ระตะ นัง ปะ ณีตัง
Idampi Saṅghe ratanaṃ paṇītaṃ
In the Sangha is this precious jewel,

เอเต นะ สัจ เจ นะ สุวัต ถิ โหตุ
Etena saccena suvatthi hotu
By the truth may there be well-being.

วะ นัป ปะ คุม เพ ยะ ถา ผุสสิตัคเค
12. Vanappagumbhe yathā phussitagge
12. Like woodland groves in blossom

คิมหา นะ มา เส ปะ ฐะมัส์ มิง คิม เห
Gimhānamāse paṭhamasmiṃ gimhe
in the first heat of the summertime

ตะ ถู ปะ มัง ธัมมะ วะ อะเท สะยิ
Tathūpamaṃ Dhammavaraṃ adesayī
is the sublime Dhamma that he taught

นิพ พา นะ คา มิง ปะ ระ มัง หิตา ยะ
Nibbāṇagāmiṃ paramaṃ hitāya
leading to Nibbana, the highest good.

อิทัมปิ พุ ทเธ ระตะ นัง ปะ ณีตัง
Idampi Buddhe ratanaṃ paṇītaṃ
In the Buddha is this precious jewel.

เอเต นะ สัจ เจ นะ สุวัต ถิ โหตุ
Etena saccena suvatthi hotu.
By this truth may there be well-being.

วะ โร วะ รัญญู วะ ระโท วะ รา หะ โร
13. Varo varaññū varado varāharo
13. He, the Supreme Sublime One, Knower,

อะนุตตะ โร ธัมมะ วะ รัง อะเท สะยิ
Anuttaro Dhammavaraṃ adesayī
Giver and Bringer of the Sublime,

อิทัมปิ พุ ทเธ ระตะ นัง ปะ ณีตัง
Idampi Buddhe ratanaṃ paṇītaṃ
taught the Sublime Dhamma.

เอเต นะ สัจ เจ นะ สุวัต ถิ โหตุ
Etena saccena suvatthi hotu
In the Buddha is this precious jewel, By the truth may there be well-being.

ขีณัง ปุ รา ณัง นะ วัง นัตถิ สัมภะ วัง
14. Khīṇaṃ purāṇaṃ navaṃ n'atthi sambhavaṃ
14. Their past is extinct with no new arising,

วิรัต ตะ จิต ตา ยะ ติ เก ภะวัส มิง
Virattacittā āyatike bhavasmiṃ
their minds not drawn to future birth;

เต ขีระ พี ชา อะวิรุฬหิ ฉัน ทา
Te khīṇabījā avirūḷhicchandā
Their old seeds destroyed, desires no
more growing,

นิพ พัน ติ ธีรา ยะ ถา ยัม ปะ ที โป
Nibbanti dhīrā yathā yampadīpo
the wise go out just like this lamp,

อิทัมปิ สังเฆ ระตะ นัง ปะ ณีตัง
Idampi Saṅghe ratanaṃ paṇītaṃ
In the Sangha is this precious jewel.

เอเต นะ สัจ เจ นะ สุวัต ถิ โหตุ
Etena saccena suvatthi hotu.
By the truth may there be well being.

ยานีธะ ภู ตานิ สะ มา คะ ตา นิ

May there be well-being!

2_Mangala Sutta มังคะละสุตตัง

มังคะละสุตตัง Maṅgala Sutta Mangala Suttam
The Discourse on Good Fortune
Evaṃ me sutaṃ.
เอวัมเม สุตัง
เอกัง สะมะ ยัง ภะ คะ วา สาวัตถิ ยัง วิหะระ ติ เชตะ วะ เน อะนา ถะ ปิณฑิกัสสะ อา รา เม ฯ
[Evam-me sutam,] Ekaṃ samayaṃ Bhagavā Sāvatthiyaṃ viharati , Jetavane Anāthapiṇḍikassa ārāme.
I have heard that at one time the Blessed One was staying in Savatthi at Jetas Grove, Anathapindikas monastery

อะถะ โข อัญญะตะ รา เท วะ ตา อะภิก กัน ตา ยะ รัตติ ยา อะภิก กัน ตะวัณณา เก วะ ละ กัป ปัง เชตะ วะ นัง โอภา เสตวา
Atha kho aññatarā devatā abhikkantāya rattiyā abhikkantavaṇṇā kevalakappaṃ Jetavanaṃ obhāsetvā
เยนะ ภะ คะ วา เตนุ ปะ สัง กะ มิ
yena Bhagavā tenupasaṅkami.
Then a certain devata, in the far extreme of the night, her extreme radiance lighting up the entirety of Jetas Grove, approached the Blessed One

อุปะสังกะมิตวา ภะ คะ วัน ตัง อะภิวา เท ตวา เอกะ มัน ตัง อัฏฐาสิ ฯ
Upasaṅkamitvā Bhagavantaṃ abhivādetvā ekamantaṃ aṭṭhāsi.
On approaching, having bowed down to the Blessed One, she stood to one side

เอกะ มัน ตัง ฐิตา โข สา เท วะ ตา ภะ คะ วัน ตัง คาถา ยะ อัชฌะ ภาสิฯ
Ekamantaṃ ṭhitā kho sā devatā Bhagavantaṃ gāthāya ajjhabhāsi:
As she was standing there, she addressed a verse to the Blessed One

พะ หู เทวา มะนุสสา จะ
มัง คะ ลานิ อะจินตะ ยุง
อา กังขะ มา นา โสต ถา นัง
พรู หิ มัง คะ ละ มุ ตตะ มัง ฯ
Bahū devā manussā ca
Maṅgalāni acintayuṃ
Ākaṅkhamānā sotthānaṃ
Brūhi maṅgalamuttamaṃ
Many devas & human beings give thought to good fortune,
Desiring well-being Tell, then, the highest good fortune

อะเสวะ นา จะ พา ลา นัง
ปัณฑิ ตา นัญ จะ เสวะ นา
ปู ชา จะ ปู ชะนี ยา นัง
เอตัม มัง คะ ละ มุ ตตะ มัง ฯ
Asevanā ca bālānaṃ
Paṇḍitānañca sevanā
Pūjā ca pūjanīyānaṃ
Etaṃ maṅgalamuttamaṃ
Not consorting with fools, consorting with the wise,
Paying homage to those who deserve homage:
This is the highest good fortune

ปะ ฏิรูปะ เท สะ วาโส จะ
ปุ เพ จะ กะ ตะ ปุ ญญะ ตา
อัตตะสัม มา ปะ ณิธิ จะ
เอตัม มัง คะ ละ มุ ตตะ มัง ฯ
Paṭirūpadesavāso ca
Pubbe ca katapuññatā
Attasammāpaṇidhi ca
Etaṃ maṅgalamuttamaṃ
Living in a civilized country, having made merit in the past,
Directing oneself rightly:
This is the highest good fortune

พาหุ สัจจัญ จะ สิปปัญ จะ
วินะ โย จะ สุสิกขิ โต
สุภาสิ ตา จะ ยา วาจา
เอตัม มัง คะ ละ มุ ตตะ มัง ฯ
Bāhusaccañ ca sippañ ca
Vinayo ca susikkhito
Subhāsitā ca yā vācā
Etaṃ maṅgalamuttamaṃ
Broad knowledge, skill, discipline well-mastered,
Words well-spoken:
This is the highest good fortune

มา ตา ปิตุ อุปัฏ ฐานัง
ปุ ตตะ ทา รัสสะ สัง คะ โห
อะนา กุลา จะ กัม มันตา
เอตัม มัง คะ ละ มุ ตตะ มัง
Mātā-pitū upaṭṭhānaṃ
Puttadārassa saṅgaho
Anākulā ca kammantā
Etaṃ maṅgalamuttamaṃ
Support for ones parents, assistance to ones wife & children,
Jobs that are not left unfinished:
This is the highest good fortune

ทานัญ จะ ธัมมะ จะ ริยา จะ
ญาตะ กานัญ จะ สัง คะ โห
อะนะ วัช ชานิ กัม มานิ
เอตัม มัง คะ ละ มุ ตตะ มัง ฯ
Dānañ ca dhammacariyā ca
Ñātakānañ ca saṅgaho
Anavajjāni kammāni
Etaṃ maṅgalamuttamaṃ
Generosity, living by the Dhamma, assistance to ones relatives,
Deeds that are blameless:
This is the highest good fortune

อา ระ ตี วิระ ตี ปา ปา
มัชชะ ปา นา จะ สัญญะ โม
อัป ปะ มา โท จะ ธัมเมสุ
เอตัม มัง คะ ละ มุ ตตะ มัง ฯ
Āratī virati pāpā
Majjapānā ca saññamo
Appamādo ca dhammesu
Etaṃ maṅgalamuttamaṃ
Avoiding, abstaining from evil; refraining from intoxicants,
Being heedful with regard to qualities of the mind:
This is the highest good fortune

คา ระ โว จะ นิวา โต จะ
สัน ตุ ฏฐี จะ กะ ตัญญุ ตา
กา เลนะ ธัมมัสสะ วะ นัง
เอตัม มัง คะ ละ มุ ตตะ มัง ฯ
Gāravo ca nivāto ca
Santuṭṭhī ca kataññutā
Kālena dhammasavanaṃ
Etaṃ maṅgalamuttamaṃ
Respect, humility, contentment, gratitude,
Hearing the Dhamma on timely occasions:
This is the highest good fortune

ขันตี จะ โสวะ จัสสะ ตา
สะมะณานัญ จะ ทัสสะ นัง
กา เลนะ ธัมมะ สากัจฉา
เอตัม มัง คะ ละ มุ ตตะ มัง
Khantī ca sovacassatā
Samaṇānañ ca dassanaṃ
Kālena dhammasākacchā
Etaṃ maṅgalamuttamaṃ
Patience, compliance, seeing contemplatives,
Discussing the Dhamma on timely occasions:
This is the highest good fortune

ตะ โป จะ พรัหมะ จะ ริยัญ จะ
อะริ ยะ สัจ จานะ ทัสสะ นัง
นิพ พานะสัจฉิ กิริยา จะ
เอตัม มัง คะ ละ มุ ตตะ มัง ฯ
Tapo ca brahmacariyañ ca
Ariyasaccānadassanaṃ
Nibbāṇasacchikiriyā ca
Etaṃ maṅgalamuttamaṃ
Austerity, celibacy, seeing the Noble Truths,
Realizing Liberation:
This is the highest good fortune

ผุฏฐัสสะ โลกะธัมเมหิ
จิต ตัง ยัสสะ นะ กัม ปะ ติ
อะโสกัง วิระ ชัง เข มัง
เอตัม มัง คะ ละ มุ ตตะ มัง ฯ
Phuṭṭhassa lokadhammehi
Cittaṃ yassa na kampati
Asokaṃ virajaṃ khemaṃ
Etaṃ maṅgalamuttamaṃ
A mind that, when touched by the ways of the world,
Is unshaken, sorrowless, dustless, secure:
This is the highest good fortune

เอตา ทิสานิ กัต วานะ
สัพพัต ถะ มะ ปะ รา ชิ ตา
สัพพัต ถะ โสตถิง คัจ ฉัน ติ
ตัน เตสัง มัง คะ ละ มุ ตตะ มัน ติ ฯ
Etādisāni katvāna
Sabbatthamaparājitā
Sabbattha sotthiṃ gacchanti
Taṃ tesaṃ maṅgalamuttaman' ti.
Everywhere undefeated when doing these things,
People go everywhere in well-being:
This is their highest good fortune

3__Karaṇīya Metta Sutta กะระณียะเมตตะสุตตัง

Karaṇīya metta Sutta กะระณียะเมตตะสุตตัง
The Discourse on Loving-kindness

กะ ระณี ยะ มัต ถะ กุ สะเล นะ
ยัน ตัง สัน ตัง ปะ ทัง อะภิสะเมจ จะ
Karaṇīyamatthakusalena
Yaṃ taṃ santaṃ padaṃ abhisamecca
This is to be done by one skilled in aims
Who wants to break through to the state of peace:

สัก โก อุชู จะ สุหุ ชู จะ
สุวะ โจ จัสสะ มุ ทุ อะนะ ติ มานี
Sakko ujū ca sūjū ca
Suvaco c'assa mudu anatimāni.
Be capable, upright, & straightforward,
Easy to instruct, gentle, & not conceited,

อัป ปะ กิจ โจ จะ สัล ละ หุกะ วุต ติ
Santussako ca subharo ca
Appakicco ca sallahukavutti
Content & easy to support, with few duties, living lightly,

Santindriyo ca nipako ca
Appagabbho kulesu ananugiddho.
With peaceful faculties, masterful, modest, & no greed for supporters

นะ จะ ขุททัง สะ มา จะ เร กิญจิ
เยนะ วิญญู ปะ เร อุปะ วะ เทย ยุง
Na ca khuddhaṃ samācare kiñci
Yena viññū pare upavadeyyuṃ
Do not do the slightest thing that the wise would later censure

สุขิ โน วา เข มิ โน โหน ตุ
สัพเพ สัต ตา ภะ วัน ตุ สุขิตัต ตา
Sukhino vā khemino hontu
Sabbe sattā bhavantu sukhitattā.
Think: Happy & secure, may all beings be happy at heart

เย เกจิ ปา ณะ ภู ตัตถ
ตะสา วา ถา วะ รา วา อะนะ วะ เสสา
Ye keci pāṇabhūtatthi
Tasā vā thāvarā vā anavasesā
Whatever beings there may be, weak or strong, without exception,

ที ฆา วา เย มะ หัน ตา วา
มัชฌิมา รัสสะ กา อะณุ กะ ถู ลา
Dīghā vā ye mahantā vā
Majjhimā rassakāṇuka-thūlā.
Long, large, middling, short, subtle, blatant,

ทิฏฐา วาเย จะ อัทิฏฐา
เย จะ ทูเร วะ สันติ อะวิทู เร
Diṭṭhā vā yeva adiṭṭhā
Ye ca dūre vasanti avidūre
Seen or unseen, near or far,

ภู ตา วา สัมภะ เวสี วา
สัพเพ สัต ตา ภะ วัน ตุ สุขิตัต ตา
Bhūtā vā sambhavesī vā
Sabbe sattā bhavantu sukhitattā.
Born or seeking birth: May all beings be happy at heart

นะ ปะ โร ปะ รัง นิกุ พเพ ถะ
นา ติ มัญเญ ถะ กัต ถะ จิ
Na paro paraṃ nikubbetha
Nātimaññetha katthacinaṃ kiñci
Let no one deceive another or despise anyone anywhere,

นัง กิญจิ พยา โรสะ นา ปะ ฏีฆะ สัญญา
นา ญญะมัญญัสสะ ทุก ขะ มิจเฉย ยะ
Byārosanā paṭighasaññā
Nāññaṃ aññassa dukkhamiccheyya.
Or through anger or resistance wish for another to suffer

มา ตา ยะ ถานิ ยัง ปุตตัง
อายุ สา เอกะ ปุ ตตะมะนุ รัก เข
Mātā yathā niyaṃ puttaṃ
Āyusā ekaputtamanurakkhe
As a mother would risk her life to protect her child, her only child,

เอวัมปิ สัพพะ ภู เตสุ
มานะ สัม ภาวะ เย อะปะ ริมาณัง
Evam pi sabbabhūtesu
Mānasaṃ bhāvaye aparimāṇaṃ.
Even so should one cultivate a limitless heart with regard to all beings

เมตตัญ จะ สัพพะ โลกัส มิง
มานะ สัม ภาวะ เย อะปะ ริมาณัง
Mettañ ca sabbalokasmiṃ
Mānasaṃ bhāvaye aparimāṇaṃ
With good will for the entire cosmos, cultivate a limitless heart:

อุทธัง อะโธ จะ ติ ริยัญ จะ
อะสัม พา ธัง อะเว รัง อะสะปัต ตัง
Uddhaṃ adho ca tiriyañ ca
Asambādhaṃ averaṃ asapattaṃ.
Above, below, & all around, unobstructed, without enmity or hate

ติ ฏฐัญ จะ รัง นิสิน โน วา
สะ ยา โน วา ยาวะตัสสะ วิคะ ตะ มิ ทโธ
Tiṭṭhaṃ caraṃ nisinno vā
Sayāno vā yāvat'assa vigatamiddho
Whether standing, walking, sitting, or lying down,
as long as one is alert,

เอตัง สะ ติง อะธิฏเฐย ยะ
พรัหมะเม ตัง วิหารัง อิธะ มา หุ
Etaṃ satiṃ adhiṭṭheyya
Brahmametaṃ vihāraṃ idhamāhu.
One should be resolved on this mindfulness
This is called a sublime abiding here & now

ทิฏฐิญ จะ อะนุ ปะ คัมมะ
สี ละ วา ทัสสะเน นะ สัม ปัน โน
Diṭṭhiñ ca anupagamma
Sīlavā dassanena sampanno
Not taken with views, but virtuous & consummate in vision,

กา เมสุ วิเนย ยะ เคธัง
นะ หิ ชา ตุ คัพภะ เสย ยัง ปุ นะ เรตี ติ ฯ
Kāmesu vineyya gedhaṃ
Na hi jātu gabbhaseyyaṃ punaretī'ti.
Having subdued desire for sensual pleasures,
One never again will lie in the womb

4__ Buddhamaṅgala-gāthā

พุทธะมังคะละคาถา
Buddhamaṅgala-gāthā

สัม พุทโธ ทิปะทัง เสฏโฐ นิสิน โน เจ วะ มัชฌิเม
sambuddho dīpadaṃ seṭṭho, nisinno c'eva majjhime
The Buddha, foremost of two-footed beings, is seated in the middle,

โก ณฑัญโญ ปุ พพะ ภา เค จะ อา คะ เณยเย จะ กัสสะ โป
koṇḍañño pubbabhāge ca, āganeyye ca kassapo
Koṇḍañño to the east, Kassapa to the southeast,

สารี ปุตโต จะ ทัก ขิเณ หะระ ติ เย อุปาลี จะ
sārīputto ca dakkhiṇe, haratiye upālī ca
Sārīputta to the south, Upālī to the southwest,

ปัจฉิเมปิ จะ อานันโท พายัพ เพ จะ คะ วัม ปะ ติ
pacchime pi ca ānando, bāyabbe ca gavampati
Ānanda to the west, Gavampati to the northwest,

โม คคัล ลา โน จะ อุตตะเร อิสาเณปิ จะ รา หุโล
moggallāno ca uttare, īsāne pi ca rāhulo
Moggallāna to the north, Rāhula to the northeast.

อิเม โข มัง คะ ลา พุทธา สัพเพ อิธะ ปะ ติ ฏฐิ ตา
ime kho maṅgalā buddhā, sabbe idha patiṭṭhitā
These auspicious awakened ones are all established here,

วัน ทิตา เต จะ อัม เห หิ สัก กา เรหิ จะ ปู ชิ ตา
vanditā te ca amhehi, sakkārehi ca pūjitā
venerated by us, honored with offerings.

เอเตสัง อานุ ภา เวนะ สัพพะโสตถี ภะ วัน ตุ โน ฯ
etesaṃ ānubhāvena, sabba-sotthī bhavantu no
By their power may all prosperity be ours.

อิเจ วะ มัจจันตะ นะ มัสสะเนย ยัง
iccevamaccantanamassaneyyaṃ
In paying homage thus to the Triple Gem,

นะ มัสสะ มา โน ระตะนัตตะ ยัง ยัง
namassamāno ratanattayaṃ yaṃ
worthy of the highest homage,

ปุ ญญาภิสันทัง วิปุ ลัง อะลัต ถึง
puññābhisandaṃ vipulaṃ alatthaṃ
a vast amount of merit is accumulated:

ตัส สานุ ภา เวนะ หะ ตัน ตะ รา โย ฯ
tassānubhāvena hatantarāyo
By its power, may danger be destroyed.

5__Khandha Paritta - The Group Protection

วิรูปัก เข หิ เม เมต ตัง
Viruupakkhehi me mettam
เมต ตัง เอรา ปะ เถหิ เม
Mettam Eraapathehi me
ฉัพ ยา ปุ ตเตหิ เม เมต ตัง
Chabyaa-puttehi me mettam
เมต ตัง กัณ หา โค ตะระ เก หิ จะ
Mettam Kanhaa-Gotamakehi ca
"I have good will for the Virupakkhas,
the Erapathas, the Chabya descendants
and the Black Gotamakas"

อะปา ทะ เก หิ เม เมต ตัง
Apaadakehi me mettam
เมต ตัง ทิปาทะ เก หิ เม
Mettam di-paadakehi me
จะ ตุปปะ เท หิ เม เมต ตัง
Catuppadehi me mettam
เมต ตัง พะหุป ปะ เท หิ เม
Mettam bahuppadehi me
"I have good will for footless beings, two-footed, four-footed, and
many-footed beings"

มา มัง อะปา ทะ โก หิงสิ
Maa mam apaadako himsi
มา มัง หิงสิ ทิปาทะ โก
Maa mam himsi di-paadako
มา มัง จะ ตุปปะ โท หิงสิ
Maa mam catuppado himsi
มา มัง หิงสิ พะหุป ปะ โท
Maa mam himsi bahuppado
May footless beings, two-footed beings, four-footed beings, and many-footed beings do me no harm

สัพเพ สัต ตา สัพเพ ปา ณา
Sabbe sattaa sabbe paanaa
สัพเพ ภู ตา จะ เก วะ ลา
Sabbe bhuutaa ca kevalaa
สัพเพ ภัทรานิ ปัสสัน ตุ
Sabbe bhadraani passantu
มา กิญจิ ปา ปะ มา คะ มา
Maa kiñci paapamaagamaa
May all creatures, all breathing things, all beings — each & every one — meet with good fortune May none of them come to any evil

อัป ปะ มา โณ พุทโธ
Appamaano Buddho,
อัป ปะ มา โณ ธัม โม
Appamaano Dhammo,
อัป ปะ มา โณ สังโฆ
Appamaano Sangho,
The Buddha, Dhamma, & Sangha are limitless

ปะ มา ณะ วัน ตา นิ สิริ งสะ ปานิ
Pamaana-vantaani sirim-sapaani,
อะหิ วิจฉิ กา สะตะ ปะ ที อุณณา นาภี สะระ ภู มูสิกา
Ahi vicchikaa sata-padii unnaanaabhii sarabuu muusikaa,
There is a limit to creeping things — snakes, scorpions, centipedes, spiders, lizards and rats

กะ ตา เม รัก ขา กะ ตา เม ปะ ริต ตา
Kataa me rakkhaa, Kataa me parittaa,
ปะ ฏิก กะ มัน ตุ ภู ตานิ
Patikkamantu bhuutaani
I have made this protection, I have made this spell May the beings depart

โสหัง นะ โม ภะ คะ วะ โต
Soham namo Bhagavato,
นะ โม สัน ตัน นัง สัม มา สัม พุทธา นัง ฯ
Namo sattannam Sammaa-sambuddhaanam
I pay homage to the Blessed One, homage to the seven Rightly Self-awakened Ones

6__Mora Paritta - The Peacocks Protection โมระปะริตตัง

อุเท ตะ ยัญ จักขุ มา เอกะ ราชา
Udetayañcakkhumaa eka-raajaa
หะริสสะวัณโณ ปะ ฐะวิป ปะ ภา โส
Harissa-vanno pathavippabhaaso
ตัง ตัง นะ มัส สามิ หะริสสะวัณณัง ปะ ฐะวิป ปะ ภาสัง
Tam tam namassaami harissa-vannam pathavippabhaasam
ตะยัช ชะ คุตตา วิหะเรมุ ทิวะสัง
Tayajja guttaa viharemu divasam
The One King, rising, with Vision,
Golden-hued, illumining the Earth:
I pay homage to you,
Golden-hued, illumining the Earth
Guarded today by you, may I live through the day

เย พรา หมะณา เวทะ คุ สัพพะธัมฌม
Ye braahmanaa vedagu sabba-dhamme
เต เม นะ โม เต จะ มัง ปา ละ ยัน ตุ
Te me namo te ca mam paalayantu
นะ มัตถุ พุทธา นัง นะ มัตถุ โพธิ ยา
Namatthu buddhaanam namatthu bodhiyaa
นะ โม วิมุต ตา นัง นะ โม วิมุตติ ยา
Namo vimuttaanam namo vimuttiyaa
Those Brahmans who are knowers of all truths,
I pay homage to them; may they keep watch over me
Homage to the Awakened Ones Homage to Awakening
Homage to the Released Ones Homage to Release

อิมัง โส ปะ ริต ตัง กัตวา
Imam so parittam katvaa
โม โร จะ ระ ติ เอสะ นา ฯ
Moro carati esanaa
Having made this protection, the peacock sets out in search for food

อะเปตะ ยัญ จักขุ มา เอกะ ราชา
Apetayañcakkhumaa eka-raajaa
หะริสสะวัณโณ ปะ ฐะวิป ปะ ภา โส
Harissa-vanno pathavippabhaaso
ตัง ตัง นะ มัส สามิ หะริสสะวัณณัง ปะ ฐะวิป ปะ ภาสัง
Tam tam namassaami harissa-vannam pathavippabhaasam
ตะยัช ชะ คุตตา วิหะเรมุ รัต ติง
Tayajja guttaa viharemu rattim
The One King, setting, with Vision,
Golden-hued, illumining the Earth:
I pay homage to you,
Golden-hued, illumining the Earth
Guarded today by you, may I live through the night

เย พรา หมะณา เวทะ คุ สัพพะธัมเม
Ye braahmanaa vedagu sabba-dhamme
เต เม นะ โม เต จะ มัง ปา ละ ยัน ตุ
Te me namo te ca mam paalayantu
นะ มัตถุ พุทธา นัง นะ มัตถุ โพธิ ยา

(Radiation of Merits)

LEADER:
หัน ทะ มะ ยัง อุททิสสะ นา ธิฏ ฐานะ คาถา โย ภะณามะ เส
HANDA MAYAM UDDISANĀDHIṬṬHĀNA-GĀTHĀYO BHAṆĀMA SE.
Let us now chant the Verses on Aspiration for Transfer of Merits

ALL :
อิมิ นา ปุ ญญะกัมเม นะ อุปัชฌา ยา คุณุตตะ รา
IMINĀ PUÑÑA-KAMMENA UPPAJJHĀYĀ GUṆUTTARĀ
By this meritorious deed (may) my highly virtuous teachers,

อาจะริยู ปะ กา รา จะ มา ตา ปิตา จะ ญาตะ กา
ĀCĀRIYŪPAKĀRĀ CA MĀTĀPITĀ CA ÑĀTAKĀ.
Helpful guardians, my dear mother and father,

( ปิยา มะ มัง ) สุริโย จัน ทิมา ราชา คุณะ วัน ตา นะ รา ปิ จะ
(PIYĀ MAMAM) SURIYO CANDIMĀ RĀJĀ GUṆAVANTĀ NARĀPI CA
Suriyo and Camdima kings (the Devas of Sun and Moon), all virtuous humans,

พรัหมะ มา รา จะ อิน ทา จะ โลกะ ปา ลา จะ เท วะ ตา
BRAHMA-MĀRĀ CA INDĀ CATU LOKAPĀLĀ CA DEVATĀ.
Brahmas, Devas, Maras and Indras (Tavatimsa Devas) the world protecting Devas,

ยะ โม มิตตา มะนุสสา จะ มัชฌัต ตา เวริ กา ปิ จะ
YAMO MITTĀ MANUSSĀ CA MAJJHATTĀ VERIKĀPI CA
Yama (Devas of the under-world), humans, friends, indifferent ones, enemies too,

สัพเพ สัต ตา สุขี โหน ตุ ปุ ญญานิ ปะ กะ ตา นิ เม
SABBE SATTĀ SUKHĪ HONTU PUÑÑĀNI PAKATĀNI ME.
May all beings be happy, sharing my merit.

สุขัง จะ ติวิธัง เทน ตุ ขิป ปัง ปา เปถะ โว มะ ตัง
SUKHAM CA TIVIDHAM DENTU KHIPPAM PĀPETHA VO MATAM.
May the triple happiness be attained, (now, after death, and finally NIBBANA);

อิมิ นา ปุ ญญะกัมเม นะ อิมิ นา อุททิเส นะ จะ
IMINĀ PUÑÑĀ-KAMMENA IMINĀ UDDISENA CA
Soon may all gain release from evil, by this meritorious deed and through this sharing.

ขิป ปัง หัง สุละ เภ เจ วะ ตัณหุ ปา ทา นะ เฉ ทะ นัง
KHIPPĀHAM SULABHE CEVA TAṆHUPĀDĀNACHEDANAM.
Soon, indeed may I attain to the good, to the cutting off of craving’s attachments,

เย สัน ตา เน หินา ธัม มา ยา วะ นิพ พา นะ โต มะ มัง
YE SANTĀNE HINĀ DHAMMĀ YĀVA NIBBĀNATO MAMAM
And all that is low in this flux of being, while striving for my deliverance.

นัสสัน ตุ สัพพะ ทา เยวะ ยัต ถะ ชา โต ภะเว ภะเว
NASSANTU SABBADĀ YEVA YATTHA JĀTO BHAVE BHAVE.
May such evil everywhere be destroyed, as one re-appears, existence after existence;

อุชุ จิต ตัง สะ ติ ปัญญา สัลเล โข วิริยัม หินา
UJUCITTAM SATIPAÑÑĀ SALLEKHO VIRIYAMHINĀ
May there be the upright mind, thoughtful wisdom, purity and energy.

มา รา ละ ภันตะ โนกาสัง กา ตุญจะ วิริเยสุ เม
MĀRĀ LABHANTU NOKĀSAM KĀTUÑCA VIRIYESU ME.
May evils (personified as Maras) never approach me, through the power of action and energy,

พุทธา ทิปะ วะ โร นา โถ ธัม โม นา โถ วะ รุตตะ โม
BUDDHĀDIPAVARO NĀTHO DHAMMO NĀTHO VARUTTAMO
Through such power as the Lord BUDDHA, the LAW, lofty, supreme and best.

นา โถ ปัจเจกะ พุทโธ จะ สังโฆ นา โถ ตตะ โร มะ มัง
NĀTHO PACCEKABUDDHO CA SANGHO NĀTHOTTARO MAMAM.
The Lordly-lone Buddhas and my highest Lords of the Ariya-Sangha,

เตโสตตะ มานุ ภา เวนะ มา โร กา สัง ละ ภัน ตุ มา
TESOTTAMĀNUBHĀVENA MĀROKĀSAM LABHANTU MĀ.
Even unto my final birth, may evils never approach me.
